Seldén launches E40rev – an electric “Reversible ” winch
Seldén proudly presents the E40rev, a reversible electric winch operating in two directions and with two speeds. The world premiere will take place at boot Düsseldorf on January 17–25, where the winch will be displayed at the Seldén stand (Hall 10, Stand E21).
The E40rev makes sail handling safer and easier, as all operation is controlled via push buttons. The line remains in both the self-tailer and the back-tailer and is adjusted in and out with hands kept at a safe distance from both line and winch. This is a clear advantage, especially for sailors handling the boat with a smaller crew.
The winch is based on Seldén’s proven and patented winch drum (ART), which ensures reliable grip and allows the winch to be operated manually in the event of a power failure.
Like our other electrically powered products, the E40rev is driven by our 42V SEL-Bus system.
The E40rev will be available on the market in spring 2026, with larger models based on the same reversible concept to be launched towards the end of the year.
